Viscobit range are viscosity modifiers that improves deformation resistance in asphalt and bitumen applications.

Exhibits a low viscosity above its melting point and is well compatible with bitumen. The polar modification of Viscobit 200 allows for an improved adhesion to aggregates. May be used as viscosity modifier for the production of low temperature asphalt. Viscobit 200 improves the needle penetration value and softening temperature as well as the deformation behavior of the bitumen. Compared to other wax additives, VISCOBIT 200 has no adverse influence on cold-temperature behaviour of the low temperature asphalt, due to its unique molecular structure. | Dosage is 2 – 3% by weight of bitumen. |
