The purpose of formulating pesticide active ingredients for crop protection is to uniformly spread a small amount of an active chemical over a large area. The goal is to ensure safety in handling and during application and to optimise pesticide efficacy. This requires that the pesticide formulation be chemically stable and physically uniform under all foreseeable storage conditions so that the minimum effective amount can be accurately applied to target areas.
VAN GEL®– Suspending agents
VAN GEL® products offer clay purity and uniformity. For this reason, they are widely used in agricultural pesticide concentrates. They are used to provide suspension, emulsion stabilisation, and tailored rheology even at pH extremes.
VAN GEL® B is the most economical high purity industrial grade.
VAN GEL® ES provides maximum electrolyte stability.
VAN GEL® H is a high efficiency thickener for alkaline formations.
VAN GEL® O is a thickener and suspending agent in bleach cleaners.
VAN GEL® SX is a smectite clay/xanthan gum blend for high thickening and suspension efficiency.
DARVAN® – Dispersing agents
DARVAN® are dispersing agents for suspension concentrates, wettable powders and dispersible granules.
DARVAN® 2: Sodium lignosulfonate
DARVAN® 670: Sodium salts of polymerized alkyl naphthalene sulfonic acid
There are several additional grades are available to match formulation requirements
