Esters

Esters are Group V base oils and are used in many synthetic lubricants for their low temperature flow characteristics, high temperature oxidative stability, biodegradability or as an additive within the oil to improve solubility of other components.

Product Description BenefitsApplications
Esterex™Esterex™ is an organic ester. Most Esterex™ esters are inherently biodegradable, making them an appropriate choice for applications in which a lubricant is in contact with the environment. Good thermal and oxidative stability. Low volatility. Detergency and dispersancy. Lubricity. Biodegradability.Used in automotive, textile, industrial, aviation, turbine and compressor lubricants. They can be used as a stand-alone base stock or in combination with other fluids.

A34
Esterex™
A34 Adipate Esters are API category Group V fluids.
Due to the fact that Esters are synthesised by reacting acids with alcohols, their properties such as; viscosity, viscosity index and load-carrying characteristics can be tailored to suit a wide range of applications.Used in automotive, textile, industrial, aviation, turbine and compressor lubricants. They can be used as a stand-alone base stock or in combination with other fluids.

A51
Esterex™
A51 Adipate Esters are API category Group V fluids.
These esters have excellent low-temperature properties, high viscosity indices, good lubricating properties and low volatilities. Esterex™ Adipate Esters can be used as sole basestocks or blendstocks with other synthetic fluids in many automotive and industrial lubricant applications. These esters are ideal in high-temperature conditions, such as reciprocating air compressors, where discharge valve cleanliness is required.Used in automotive, textile, industrial, aviation, turbine and compressor lubricants. They can be used as a stand-alone base stock or in combination with other fluids.

P81
Esterex™
P81 are API category Group V fluids.
Esters are commonly used as an additive in concentrations of 5 to 25% in conjunction with Poly Alpha Olefins (PAOs) in fully synthetic motor oils in order to improve additive solubility and counteract the effect PAOs have on seals.Used in automotive, textile, industrial, aviation, turbine and compressor lubricants. They can be used as a stand-alone base stock or in combination with other fluids.
