Flotation Collecting Agents

We offer a range of flotation collectors that afford surface modification (increased hydrophobicity) of minerals.

Product Description BenefitsApplications
Sodium Ethyl XanthateSodium Ethyl Xanthate (CH 3CH 2OCS 2Na)Sodium ethyl xanthate is highly effective in selectively collecting sulfide minerals, such as copper, lead, and zinc, by making them hydrophobic. Exhibits strong collecting power, which enhances the recovery of valuable minerals during flotation. Relatively inexpensive compared to other collectors, making it a cost-effective option for mineral processing operations. Suitable for various sulfide ores, including those of copper, lead, zinc, and nickel, making it versatile in different flotation circuits. Remains stable under the typical conditions of flotation, including the pH and temperature ranges used in mineral processing.Commonly used to float copper sulfide minerals such as chalcopyrite (CuFeS₂) and bornite (Cu₅FeS₄). Used to float lead sulfides like galena (PbS) and zinc sulfides like sphalerite (ZnS). Used in the flotation of gold and silver ores containing sulfide minerals, enhancing the recovery of these precious metals. Effective in the flotation of nickel sulfide ores and of complex ores where multiple sulfide minerals are present, aiding in the selective separation of valuable minerals.
