VpCI® PROTECTION

The VpCI®(Vapour Phase Corrosion Inhibitor) can be used in the protection against corrosion in harsh outdoor conditions or during processing, storage of mothballing in mining environments.

ProductDescriptionBenefitsApplications
VpCI®-368VpCI®-368 is a solvent-based temporary waxlike coating. A time-proven coating that provides excellent protection to metal substrates exposed to harsh outdoor conditions. VpCI®-368 leaves a firm, wax-like film that can be removed by mineral spirits or alkaline cleaners such as Cortec®VpCI-414. Provides multi-metal protection.Provides protection in harsh, outdoor, unsheltered applications.
VpCI®-105
Emitters
VpCI®-105 emitters provide corrosion protection for metal components enclosed in non-ventilated control boxes, cabinets, or tool boxes up to 141.6 litres.
Economical to use. Provides continuous protection for up to 24 months. Effective in polluted and humid environments. Does not interfere with electrical, optical, or mechanical surface properties. Multimetal protection. Quick and easy installation. Protects during operation and shutdown. Safe to handle. Compact, space-saving, and unobtrusive device. Free of nitrites, halogens, and phosphates. Self-stick date label.Operating, packaged and stored electrical equipment, marine navigation and communication equipment, aerospace electrical controls, electric motors, switching equipment, fuse boxes, medical equipment, electrical wireways, terminal boxes, scientific and measuring instruments, telecommunications equipment, control panels for manufacturing and processing equipment.
VpCI®-111 EmittersVpCI®-111 emitters provide corrosion protection for metal components enclosed in non-ventilated control boxes, cabinets, or tool boxes up to 312 litres. VpCI®-111 has a breathable Tyvek® membrane cover through which corrosion inhibitors are slowly released. VpCI®-111 provides long term protection against corrosion even in the presence of adverse conditions including salt, moisture, airborne contaminants, H2 S, SO2 , NH3 , and others.Operating, packaged, and stored electrical equipment. Marine navigation and communication equipment. Aerospace electrical controls. Electric motors. Switching equipment. Fuse boxes and power boxes. Medical equipment. Electrical wireways and terminal boxes. Scientific and measuring instruments. Telecommunications equipment and remote electronics devices.
VpCI®-126VpCI®-126 series film protects metal parts from all types of corrosion including rust, tarnish, stains, white rust, and oxidation for up to 5 years.Films and bags replace conventional rust preventatives such as oils and desiccants. The packaging eliminates degreasing or coating removal previously required. VpCI®-126 is transparent, making it easy to identify parts. Does not contain free amines, phosphates, or halogen-based materials, is non-toxic and recyclable.Provides protection for Aluminum, Galvanized Steel, Carbon Steel, Silicon Steel, Stainless Steel, Copper, Brass and Cast Iron.
