A S Harrison & Co offers a wide-spectrum of pipeline cleaners designed for both batch and continuous applications, optimising pipeline operations to maintain efficiency and productivity.
In flowlines, gathering, and transmission pipelines, deposits such as iron sulfide, iron oxide, and organic solids can accumulate, leading to significant operational problems. These build-ups can cause a decline in oil and gas flow, affecting overall performance and profitability. Regular pipeline cleaning is essential to prevent these issues and ensure smooth operations.
Introducing our patented* process, Pig Sweep™, a cutting-edge pipeline cleaning solution that uses nanoparticles as a mechanical cleaning method rather than relying on chemical reactions. Pig Sweep™ is a liquid solution composed of drying agents, biocides, and corrosion inhibitors, designed to clean pipes thoroughly while leaving the pipe’s chemistry unchanged. This innovative process not only provides a cleaning solution but also acts as internal protection, especially preventing bacterial growth.
Pig Sweep™ is highly versatile, eliminating the need for special chemistry to address different types of debris. This comprehensive solution effectively tackles all contaminants in the pipeline, ensuring optimal performance.
Pig Sweep™ utilises wedge-shaped, positively charged nanoparticles that are only 10-12 nanometers thick. These nanoparticles penetrate and coat every possible surface of contaminants within the pipeline. The constant motion of the nanoparticles, driven by their positive charge, allows them to electrostatically repel each other and seek out negatively charged electrons in the pipe walls. This unique mechanism ensures thorough cleaning, reaching areas that conventional methods might miss.
A S Harrison & Co’s Pig Sweep™ pipeline cleaners provide an advanced and efficient solution for maintaining pipeline operations. Pig Sweep™ offers a non-conventional cleaning method that relies solely on mechanical cleaning to achieve effective results, offering corrosion protection while being environmentally and user-friendly. Product and customer insights
Despite numerous cleanings, the productivity of the Reverse Osmosis plant would not recover from severe membrane fouling. The membrane autopsy revealed that the ferric hydroxide was seeding
silica polymerization and that even while the ferric hydroxide was removed, the silica scaling was continuing to grow.
The plant was experiencing weekly shutdowns for fiber clean up (~ 3 kg bags of matted slurry is cleaned per week). The shut downs were costly as they reduce plant availability for production.
The International Maritime Organisation (IMO) regulation, known as IMO 2020 was the the largest change in regulation relating to marine fuels impacting 75% of the fuel used by the shipping industry.

AWC A-110 effectively inhibited scale at a dosage of 3.5 ppm and an operating pH of 6.9. This increase in operating pH reduced the district’s annual acid consumption by ~$350K per year based on their current production.
Research indicates that Sea Buckthorn may be able to strengthen the immune system. One in vitro study focused on the possible immunomodulatory properties of Sea Buckthorn.
MCI® -2020 V/O and ChemMaster’s Colorsil were chosen to repair and protect the walls based on their 20 year warranties and the fact that together they could fulfill the other specified repair design requirements.
The East Hokkaido region is known to have the highest volume of potato product in Japan. Unfortunately, a potato farmer in the area was experiencing a high rate of potato scab infection in his agricultural field.
