The coagulant should be added to the Liquid Solid (L/S) separation circuit before the addition of flocculant. In a Counter Current Decantation (CCD) circuit, it is best added to the CCD1 or lead CCD launder, while in filtration circuits, it should be added before the filter.

DEHSCOFIX® SC12 binds selectively to colloidal silica and precipitated silica in the leach solids. When added directly to leach discharge, it improves settling in high-grade thickeners, CCD circuits, and clarifiers.

The key to its effectiveness lies in thorough mixing and shearing, which promotes coagulation without concern for shearing the coagulated particles.
