Product | Description | Benefits | Applications |
---|---|---|---|
Empigen® OB | Empigen® OB is a Amine, Lauramine (C1214) Oxide. | A co-surfactant, helps to create and stabilise copious foam, improves emulsification and soil removal, also gives some conditioning effect. Excellent resistance to oxidation, good solubilising agents and viscosity modifiers. Compatible with hypoclorite and peroxides. Mass Balance version is available. | Manual Dish Washing, Surface Care, Toilet Care, Laundry, Car Care. |
Empigen® OD | Empigen® OD is a Amine, Alkyldimethylamine (C12-18) Oxide. |
Empigen® BB | Empigen® BB is a Alkyl (Amido Propyl), Lauryl Betaine. | 76% naturally derived. Efficient foam booster, stabiliser and a good wetting agent. Methanol and glycerol free, improved colour and odour compared to oil and methyl ester derivatives, improves mildness and exhibits low sensitivity to water hardness. Low salt variant available. | Manual Dish Washing, Surface Care, Toilet Care, Laundry, Eco Label. |
Empigen® BS/FE | Empigen® BS/FE is a Alkyl (Amido Propyl), Cocamidopropyl Betaine. | This all-rounder amphoteric surfactant, is compatible with all other surfactant classes and gives formulation and performance benefits in terms of ease of viscosity adjustment, abundant stable foam, superior cleaning in the presence of soap and exhibits excellent hard water tolerance. It also gives mild conditioning effect in formulation. Mass balanced variant available. | Manual Dish Washing, Surface Care, Toilet Care, Laundry, Car Care, Eco Label. |
Empigen® CDL 60/P | Empigen® CDL 60/P is a Amphoacetate, Sodium Lauroamphoacetate. | An amphoteric surfactant, 66% naturally derived, compatible with all surfactant classes. Excellent quantity and quality of foam even with soap, hard water tolerant, good wetting characteristics and easy to handle due to low viscosity. Mass balanced variant available. | Manual Dish Washing, Surface Care, Laundry, Eco Label. |
Empigen® CDR 60 | Empigen® CDR 60 is a Amphoacetate, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate. | Amphoteric co-surfactant, 69% naturally derived. Compatible with anionic, non-ionic and cationic surfactants. Good quality of foam even with soap and hard water. Outstanding mildness. Potential to form ion-pair complexes and increase performance of cationic surfactants. Foam profile and viscosity response are influenced by pH. Mass balanced variant available. | Manual Dish Washing, Surface Care, Laundry, Eco Label. |

Despite numerous cleanings, the productivity of the Reverse Osmosis plant would not recover from severe membrane fouling. The membrane autopsy revealed that the ferric hydroxide was seeding
silica polymerization and that even while the ferric hydroxide was removed, the silica scaling was continuing to grow.
The plant was experiencing weekly shutdowns for fiber clean up (~ 3 kg bags of matted slurry is cleaned per week). The shut downs were costly as they reduce plant availability for production.
The International Maritime Organisation (IMO) regulation, known as IMO 2020 was the the largest change in regulation relating to marine fuels impacting 75% of the fuel used by the shipping industry.
