Modern diesel is increasingly being subjected to higher performance requirements due to the development in diesel engine technology and the introduction of ultra-low sulphur diesel (ULSD). Additives are often used by refineries to meet these requirements and as a point of differentiation.

ECOCLEAN® is a multifunctional diesel fuel additive series that does more than delivering enhanced performance and reduced maintenance. Using ECOCLEAN® will reduce harmful exhaust emissions by controlling deposits, reducing wear and improving combustion.

ECOCLEAN® works by preventing the thermal degradation of fuel under extremes of pressure and temperature thereby reducing fuel system deposits, as well as cleaning up existing deposits.

ECOCLEAN® can also be used to boost fuel cetane levels providing improved starting, smoother combustion, reduced emissions, and lower engine noise levels.

Product and customer insights
Despite numerous cleanings, the productivity of the Reverse Osmosis plant would not recover from severe membrane fouling. The membrane autopsy revealed that the ferric hydroxide was seeding
silica polymerization and that even while the ferric hydroxide was removed, the silica scaling was continuing to grow.
The plant was experiencing weekly shutdowns for fiber clean up (~ 3 kg bags of matted slurry is cleaned per week). The shut downs were costly as they reduce plant availability for production.
